Sable Sanctum began as Anysti — a name that carried the earliest sketches of this ecosystem before it had gothic windows or a bat at its door. As Anysti Drive grew into something bigger than a single app, the name grew too small to hold it.
Sable Sanctum is what's left when you strip the name down to what it was always about: a private, self-hosted place, built by hand, meant to be lived in rather than merely visited. The rebrand is still underway — some corners of this ecosystem still answer to the old name while the paperwork catches up to the vision — but the direction is set.
One person writes the code, draws the icons, and hosts the servers this all runs on. My partner reviews it — catches what I miss, tells me when something reads wrong, sits with me through the parts that don't feel like magic yet.
So call it mostly one person's work, with a second set of eyes making sure it holds together.
Renting your digital life gets expensive in ways that have nothing to do with money — your data, your attention, your ability to walk away. Every app, game, and page here runs on infrastructure I own and maintain myself: self-hosted servers, no ad networks, no analytics reporting home, no algorithm deciding what you see next.
Building it this way takes longer than reaching for someone else's platform. It's worth it.
